Job Requirements

Must obtain and maintain valid licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations
must successfully pass background check
must successfully pass drug screening
must be at least 21 years of age
ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees at all levels
ability to observe, direct, and maintain bar attendant activities and work areas
ability to distinguish between denominations of currency and make change
ability to read and comprehend drink recipes and documentation
ability to use all bar equipment including cash registers
ability to maintain a clean work area and retrieve supplies
flexibility to work various shifts
ability to operate in noisy, crowded environments
ability to direct cocktail servers

Job Qualifications

Completion of an accredited bartending course
two years of experience in high volume cocktail service preferably in a hotel or casino environment
excellent customer service skills
knowledge of how to mix a wide variety of drinks
ability to operate all bar equipment including cash registers and liquor dispensing equipment
knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding alcohol service
strong communication skills
ability to direct bar attendants and inspect work areas
ability to manage company funds and handle currency accurately
flexibility to work varying shifts
ability to work in environments with varying noise levels and crowds
valid licenses and certifications as required by regulatory agencies

Job Duties

Create an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento for gaming entertainment
provide superior customer service and positive interactions with guests and team members
maintain company funds and equipment orderly
pour drinks according to established recipes and maintain a clean and safe work environment
ensure compliance with underage serving policies
demonstrate specific product offerings and ordering procedures
monitor proper par levels of all supplies at assigned bars
communicate any problems to immediate supervisor
be responsible for the security and accuracy of assigned bank including handling overages and shortages
open and close bar according to established procedures
provide work direction for bar attendants
attend and participate in meetings and complete follow-up
assist with duties at special events including carving, cooking, setup, and teardown
clean and distribute ash trays
clean and sanitize work and public spaces
perform other duties as assigned
