The role we are offering is that of a Bartender, a position central to our daily operations and guest satisfaction. This is an hourly position starting at $12.25 per hour, with the opportunity to earn tips that can significantly enhance overall earnings. The position involves maintaining bar supplies efficiently, including preparing daily requisitions as necessary to ensure smooth operations. The successful candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of various liquors, drink recipes, prices, and the correct glassware and garnishes required for each beverage. Additionally, familiarity with cash handling procedures is essential, including the use of the MICROS system or similar registers, accurate discounting, banking procedures, and tip policies.

Bartenders are expected to anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and maintain positive relationships, ensuring an enjoyable guest experience at all times. Handling guest complaints professionally and ensuring guest satisfaction is a key part of the role. Formal training regarding liquor liability will be provided within the first 30 days of employment and ongoing refreshers every two years to ensure compliance and safety.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bartending or relevant hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to work varying schedules including nights weekends and holidays
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Strong customer service skills required

Job Duties

  • Efficiently maintain bar supplies including preparation of daily requisition as necessary
  • Be completely familiar with all kinds of liquor recipes and prices of drinks proper glassware used for each recipe and garnishes needed
  • Know drink recipes prices and types of beverages available
  • Be familiar with accurate cash handling procedures including proper discounting MICROS system or registers bank procedures and tip policies
  • Accurately charge guests for drinks and manage intake of all monies
  • Anticipate guest needs respond promptly and acknowledge all guests maintaining positive guest relations
  • Resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Complete formal training on liquor liability within 30 days and every two years thereafter
