This Bartender role is based at the CoStar Food Hall located at 551 South 5th Street, Richmond, VA 23219. The position is full-time, with working hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and compensation ranges between $17.00 and $23.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. The role is a perfect opportunity for those with prior bartender and hospitality experience looking to work in an energetic and welcoming environment. The primary responsibility of the bartender will be to prepare and serve beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner while adhering to all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations.

As a key part of Restaurant Associates, a division of Compass Group known for excellence in dining and event catering, the bartender will be entrusted with setting up the bar, stocking supplies, preparing fresh garnishes, and maintaining an attractive bar display. The bartender must handle cash transactions responsibly, check IDs to ensure compliance with the law, and detect signs of guest intoxication to promote a safe atmosphere. Additionally, the role includes general cleaning and organizing duties to uphold health and safety standards. With a strong focus on teamwork and guest experience, the bartender will contribute to the overall ambiance and service quality at CoStar Food Hall.

Job Duties

  • Greets guests courteously and processes orders for drinks using standard recipes

  • Handles cash transactions accurately and secures cash and deposits
  • Performs cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards
  • Arranges bottles and glassware for an attractive display
  • Washes and sterilizes stemware
