The Full-Time Bartender position at Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa is a dynamic role that plays a vital part in the hotel's Beverage Team. This role offers an hourly pay rate of $28.26 and demands a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to hospitality excellence. The Bartender will be responsible for managing beverage services across multiple hospitality outlets within the resort, including the Lounge, Magic Show, Pool Bar, Banquets, and Restaurant. The position involves taking food and beverage orders, preparing and serving cocktails and drinks, efficiently managing payments, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
The ideal candidate for this role possesses robust knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and beverage menu offerings. They will employ excellent interpersonal skills to provide personalized service that exceeds guest expectations while embodying a “Can Do” attitude and genuine hospitality. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous bartending experience preferred
- ability to work full-time
- capable of standing for extended periods
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- familiarity with food and beverage service
- knowledge of local liquor laws and food safety regulations
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous bartending experience preferred
- knowledge of beverage recipes and mixing procedures
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- familiarity with POS systems such as MICROS
- understanding of alcohol service regulations and sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing a can do attitude and genuine hospitality
- gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
- listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
- assumes responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses best judgment as to when it is appropriate
- performs other duties as required to provide can do attitude and genuine hospitality
- provides service by suggesting cocktails, wines or non-alcoholic beverages, recommending promotional items and upselling to premium products as appropriate
- demonstrates a thorough knowledge of beverage recipes and mixing procedures
- maintains knowledge of bar inventory and wine selection to respond properly to customer questions
- prepares drinks in accordance with the server's and guest's order
- stocks and orders all supplies and glassware, displays beverages attractively
- provides excellent customer service by suggesting food and beverage recommendations and upselling as appropriate
- demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the menu
- provides guest with a high level of knowledge for menu choices
- takes guest's food and drink order, provides explanation of menu and upsells as appropriate
- utilizes MICROS POS to accurately enter food and beverage orders and process discounts and payments
- keeps bar area and floor areas clean
- completes all side work assignments to restaurant bar standards
- consolidates and prepares bar garnishes and mixes and juices
- performs duties according to Department of Health sanitation and food safety guidelines
- understands and follows Department of liquor control laws and regulations for beverage service
- handles cash, checks and/or credit cards in accordance with Hilton policies
- performs related duties as assigned by manager
- performs manual and electronic transactions including monies, room charge, credit card, coupons, vouchers, and hotel issued certificates
