Job Description
Sagewood is a distinguished senior living community located in the picturesque city of Phoenix, Arizona. Nestled amidst striking Southwestern architecture and scenic views of the Sonoran Desert and McDowell Mountains, Sagewood offers an exceptional environment dedicated to enriching the lives of its residents. The community prides itself on maintaining high standards of care and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where both residents and staff members feel valued and appreciated. Unlike conventional dining establishments, Sagewood operates a salary-only, non-tipping policy that emphasizes fairness and respect for every team member's contribution. Employees here benefit from a collaborative, fun, and supportive workplace that acknowledges reliability, dependability, and thoughtfulness as key values, fostering a strong sense of community and mutual respect.
The Bartender position at Sagewood is a full-time evening role designed for individuals seeking a rewarding career with a balanced schedule, free from late-night hours. Working weekdays from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and occasionally during weekends and holidays, this position ensures employees are home by 9:00 PM. This schedule is ideal for those who prioritize work-life harmony, including students and individuals seeking consistent routines without the unpredictability of late shifts. Bartenders at Sagewood serve the vibrant senior community by preparing and serving beverages in an environment that mirrors the professionalism and quality of well-run restaurants. Responsibilities include coordinating requests from residents and guests with efficiency and courtesy, maintaining stock and ingredients, assisting with inventory processes, and accurately recording sales. The role demands attentiveness to resident preferences, a strong customer-service mindset, and the ability to work on one’s feet for extended periods while adhering to safety standards such as lifting restrictions.
Sagewood offers competitive pay at $17.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package that enhances the employee experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. Additionally, Sagewood supports employee education through scholarships and tuition reimbursement programs, reflecting its commitment to professional development and lifelong learning. The community also provides an employee assistance program and unique perks like $4 daily lunch specials and daily pay options. New hires are welcomed with thorough orientation and ongoing support, ensuring every team member is equipped for success and growth. Those interested in contributing to a compassionate senior living experience and thriving in a cohesive, respectful work culture are encouraged to apply. Sagewood is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusive hiring practices.
