Job Description

This role is for a full-time Bartender position at Sushi by Bou, an upscale dining concept located within The Westin Tempe. The successful candidate will serve guests in a fast-paced, sophisticated environment, creating a memorable and welcoming atmosphere through expert beverage preparation and exceptional customer service. The Bartender is expected to uphold the high standards set by Sushi by Bou, Crescent Hotels and Resorts, and Marriott International, ensuring every guest interaction is friendly, professional, and uplifting. Working primarily in the evening with availability for weekends and holidays, this role is integral to the overall guest experience at the hotel.

The Bartender's responsibilities include preparing a variety of alcoholic beverages promptly and with accuracy, maintaining a neat and professional appearance, and fostering effective communication with guests and co-workers alike. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to pitch in as a team player and possess basic knowledge of food and beverage service. The role involves cash handling duties, basic math skills for transactions, and manual dexterity for tasks such as mixing drinks, garnishing, and handling glassware and bottles. Physical stamina is necessary for lifting items up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Preferred candidates will have prior bartending experience especially in a fine dining or upscale hospitality setting, knowledge of cocktails, wine, and spirits, and the capability to provide beverage recommendations. A customer-focused mindset and positive attitude toward guest service are essential. Candidates must also be able to obtain necessary health and alcohol certificates in compliance with local regulations.

Job Requirements
