Job Requirements

Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery
must successfully pass background check
must have valid Food Handlers Card and Liquor License
must successfully pass drug screening
must be at least 21 years of age
must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts

Job Qualifications

Secondary school degree preferred
minimum of 2 years in hospitality service
at least 1 year of high-volume bartending experience
extensive knowledge of beer, liquor, and wine
understanding of history and composition of spirits, beer, and wines
ability to demonstrate spirit differentiation and drink preparation techniques
excellent customer service skills with a positive, friendly, and outgoing attitude

Job Duties

Create an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Bristol for gaming entertainment
actively build and retain guest relations and mentor team members to provide superior guest service
take customer drink orders
properly greet guests and offer drink and food specials
total bills, present checks, collect settlement, and process payments
reconcile transactions, cash out, and maintain a balanced bank
familiarize with menu items including ingredients and allergens and beverage lists to assist guests accurately
prepare cocktails according to recipes using appropriate tools and glassware
memorize and prepare Hard Rock brand specialty cocktails
develop new cocktail recipes when directed
greet guests and help select food and beverages
serve food and beverages ensuring timeliness and accuracy
maintain bartop and bar table cleanliness, replenish utensils and beverages
process payments according to POS and cash handling procedures
perform last call and maintain bank variance
ensure all checks are closed out
maintain bar inventory to par levels and communicate ordering needs to management
maintain professional communication with staff and culinary team
adhere to food and beverage policies and State Liquor Laws
keep station clean at all times
promote positive customer relations
receive monies and settle guests' checks
other related duties as assigned by management
