Job Description

Trilogy at Tehaleh: Seven Summits Lodge is nestled against a stunning backdrop of protected forest preserves with the majestic Mount Rainier looming nearby. Situated within the picturesque resort-lifestyle community of Trilogy at Tehaleh, located in Bonney Lake just a scenic drive south of Seattle, Washington, Seven Summits Lodge offers an exclusive private community club designed for the most discerning members. This upscale establishment boasts areas dedicated to dining, relaxation, fitness, games, and other recreational activities, making it a hub for luxury and comfort within a natural setting. The lodge emphasizes a high-quality experience that blends exceptional service with the beauty of the surrounding environment, setting a standard for resort living.

The role of Bartender at Seven Summits Lodge is an essential position within the Food & Beverage department, reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager. This part-time role offers compensation starting at $17.13 per hour plus tips, and it is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic hospitality setting that values professionalism and warmth. The bartender's primary responsibility is to prepare and serve beverages and food to guests seated at the bar, restaurant, or patio areas in accordance with company policies and high-quality standards.

The successful candidate will be a key ambassador of the lodge, creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere for guests while providing excellent hospitality. The position demands a proactive approach to service, ensuring that all food and beverage interactions meet or exceed guest expectations. Bartenders at Seven Summits Lodge are expected to have a comprehensive knowledge of the resort’s facilities and dining options so they can offer insightful responses to guest inquiries and promote other resort services enthusiastically.

Responsibilities include greeting guests with a friendly demeanor, anticipating their beverage preferences, recommending drinks, and verifying legal drinking age to comply with state and federal laws. Additionally, bartenders manage cash and card transactions, maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar, take inventory, and order supplies as needed. This role also involves participation in larger food and beverage functions such as corporate events and weddings, ensuring seamless service at all times.

The establishment fosters a team-oriented culture where collaboration and communication are critical. Bartenders meet regularly with staff at all levels to align on service goals and plan future Food & Beverage events. Attendance at culinary exhibitions and educational seminars is encouraged to stay current with industry trends and enhance professional skills.

Seven Summits Lodge prioritizes personal attributes such as strong customer orientation, the ability to work well under pressure while balancing multiple priorities, and leadership capabilities that motivate and support team success. Employees are expected to embody the BlueStar core values: honesty and integrity, respect for the individual, teamwork, and a competitive spirit. This unique blend of professionalism, passion, and community involvement makes the Bartender position at Seven Summits Lodge a rewarding opportunity for those looking to grow within the hospitality industry while contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

The work environment predominantly involves indoor restaurant settings but can extend to outdoor patios and event venues where exposure to weather and occasional wildlife occurs. The role is physically active requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and frequent hand washing. Communication skills are vital as the job involves speaking clearly and listening carefully even in noisy settings. Flexibility is required as the schedule includes evenings and weekends.

Part-time employees working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and life insurance plans following 60 days of employment. Paid Time Off, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan are also available to eligible team members, distinguishing Trilogy at Tehaleh as not only a place of work but a supportive and rewarding community.
