The role of Bartender at MGM Resorts International is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional guest service in a high-energy setting. As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in shaping the guest experience by preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and charisma. You will be expected to have comprehensive knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers, and other drink selections while maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the bar area. This position offers a starting hourly rate of $17.9497 and involves working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, typical of the hospitality industry.

In this role, you will engage directly with guests, ensuring each interaction is welcoming and personalized to create memorable and “WOW” moments during their stay. You will also take on responsibilities such as mentoring apprentice bartenders and bar porters, managing inventory accurately, and handling cash transactions with strict adherence to company policies and procedures. Your ability to resolve guest concerns and maintain a professional, friendly atmosphere will be key to your success in this position. Job Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age
  • work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience in a bar or similar setting preferred
  • experience working in a similar resort setting preferred

  • strong knowledge of drink recipes and menu items
  • excellent customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
  • clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order
  • knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
  • ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
  • provide apprentice bartender and bar porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending
  • maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar
  • resolve guest complaints within scope of authority
  • otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
  • perform other job-related duties as requested
