As the premier country club in the region, it offers an exceptional membership experience to approximately 720 families, combining top-tier recreational amenities with outstanding dining services. The club operates year-round, offering members access to an immaculate championship 18-hole golf course, swimming, tennis, and fitness facilities. A standout feature of Minnehaha Country Club is its exceptional dining program, which includes two full-service restaurants and a robust on-site catering and events operation. These venues provide a range of dining experiences from formal settings to more casual atmospheres, catering to a wide array of member tastes and preferences.
The role available at Minnehaha Country Club is a full-time bartender position based in the Windows Restaurant, which is known for its welcoming environment and commitment to high-quality service. The bartender will be a vital part of the dining experience, responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring that guests receive prompt and attentive service. With a starting salary of $11.00 per hour depending on experience, plus tips, this position also requires working occasional server shifts at a rate of $7.00 per hour plus tips. This role demands someone who is passionate about hospitality, possesses strong communication skills, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. The bartender is essential for maintaining the club’s high standards in beverage service, adhering strictly to local and state alcohol service laws, and contributing to an enjoyable and memorable experience for all members and guests.
As a bartender at Minnehaha Country Club, you will be equipped with the responsibility of preparing garnishes, fruit mixes, and pre-mixed drinks before the bar opens, as well as inspecting and stocking the bar to ensure it is fully supplied throughout service hours. You will be expected to provide immediate attention to members and guests upon seating, expertly mixing drinks according to approved recipes, and accurately handling billing procedures. This role also involves maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, managing inventory control, and assisting with closing duties according to prescribed procedures. The successful candidate will exhibit excellent organizational skills, a dynamic personality, and a commitment to serving members with courtesy and professionalism. Additionally, teamwork and communication with other restaurant staff and management are vital to uphold the club’s reputation and ensure smooth operations during peak dining hours and special events.
Minnehaha Country Club offers a vibrant work environment reflective of a professional kitchen setting, which can be hot, humid, and noisy. Physical stamina is required as the job entails standing for long periods, walking, balancing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other repetitive motions. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with shifts covering weekends, holidays, evenings, and split shifts. The club values diversity, provides a drug-free workplace, and complies with ADA regulations, aiming to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all employees. Joining the team at Minnehaha Country Club means being part of a legacy of excellence in hospitality and golf club operations, and an opportunity to grow your career in a trusted and respected community institution.
