Job Description

Capital City Club, established in 1883, stands as one of the oldest and most prestigious private clubs in the Southern United States. This iconic establishment is located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta, housed within a stunning five-story brick building that features multiple unique world-class dining venues. Its prime location just steps away from the Peachtree Center Marta Station makes it easily accessible for members and staff alike. For over a century, Capital City Club has maintained a tradition of excellence, offering its members an exceptional experience marked by superior service, delicious cuisine, and an elegant atmosphere. The club is well-known for fostering a welcoming environment where history and modern hospitality blend seamlessly.

The current opportunity at Capital City Club invites experienced bartenders to join their dedicated team. This position is full-time and requires candidates to have open availability to meet the dynamic and busy needs of the club’s members and guests. Bartenders at Capital City Club play a critical role in creating memorable experiences by crafting and serving exceptional beverages with a focus on quality and consistency. Unlike many hospitality environments, Capital City Club operates a non-tipping policy, which encourages staff to focus entirely on providing the highest level of service without the pressure of tipping dynamics.

In addition to a competitive guaranteed wage, which ensures financial stability and focus on service excellence, team members enjoy a variety of benefits that support both their professional and personal lives. These benefits include a complimentary employee meal during each shift, on-site parking, complimentary work uniforms, and uniform laundering. The club invests in its employees through annual performance reviews, an employee recognition program, and seasonal appreciation events, including summer and holiday gatherings. For those who wish to expand their professional skill set, Capital City Club provides an opportunity to become T.I.P.S. (Training for Intervention Procedures) certified at no cost, a respected certification in the hospitality industry that validates a bartender’s ability to responsibly serve alcohol.

Bartenders at Capital City Club will find themselves in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment that values collaboration and individual responsibility. The role involves more than just beverage preparation; it includes maintaining stock and cleanliness, preparing mise en place before shifts, adhering to club recipes and standards, and providing attentive, personalized service that exceeds member expectations. Staff members collaborate across departments to ensure seamless operations and consistently uphold the club’s reputation for exceptional hospitality. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and can maintain a positive, energetic attitude throughout their shift.

Capital City Club also emphasizes the importance of safety and compliance. All candidates offered employment must undergo testing for illegal drugs as a standard condition of employment, underscoring the club’s commitment to providing a safe and professional working environment. If you are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in an esteemed private club setting, and want to be part of a team that champions service excellence and member satisfaction, this bartender position at Capital City Club represents a rewarding and stable career opportunity.
