The Bartender role at Valencia Hotel Group involves preparing a wide range of drinks for bar patrons, cocktail servers, and food servers, ensuring a positive guest experience through professional, efficient service and high-quality beverage preparation. This position requires a thorough knowledge of various types of liquor, cocktail recipes, proper glassware, and garnishes, coupled with the ability to promote and upsell liquor and food. The bartender also plays a critical role in maintaining safety by adhering to age identification guidelines and responsibly managing interactions with intoxicated customers. The work environment spans indoor and outdoor hotel spaces, exposing the bartender to various physical activities such as standing, crouching, stooping, twisting, balancing, reaching, handling, fingering, pushing, pulling, and lifting of objects weighing up to 160 lbs with assistance. The physical demands are significant and require stamina and physical fitness.

Additionally, the bartender supports operational efficiency by maintaining clean and organized work areas, handling cash and POS systems like the Aloha system accurately, following bank and tip policies, and ensuring equipment is kept in proper working condition. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills to be courteous and professional with both customers and colleagues, and vigilance in reporting unsafe conditions.
