Job Description
LodgeWorks is a distinguished privately held hotel development and management company that operates a remarkable portfolio of 18 hotels throughout the United States. Despite the company’s name not appearing on the hotels themselves, the culture and operational excellence that LodgeWorks brings are deeply embedded within each property. Their impressive collection includes the award-winning Archer Hotel boutique brand along with several well-known hotel chains such as Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Aloft, Hilton Garden Inn, and Hampton Inn. With over 35 years of industry experience and a workforce exceeding 950 employees nationwide, LodgeWorks has built a solid reputation as an innovator in the hospitality industry. The company’s headquarters are located in Wichita, Kansas, and it prides itself on fostering a strong family-oriented culture grounded in Midwestern hospitality values. Hospitality to LodgeWorks is not just a business sector but the foundation of every interaction, from their team members supporting each other to delivering exceptional guest service.
The company is actively recruiting for a Bartender role, a pivotal position that significantly impacts the overall guest experience. The bartender's role is centered on creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere where guests can relax, enjoy expertly crafted cocktails, and indulge in beverage offerings that complement their dining experiences. Emphasizing guest satisfaction, LodgeWorks seeks someone who can deliver top-tier service, demonstrating knowledge of classic and specialty cocktails, liquor, wine, and menu offerings. Bartenders are essential in maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar, ensuring all guest requests are met promptly and with a smile. The job underscores the importance of adhering to all regulatory standards related to alcohol and food safety, making it both a responsible and rewarding position within LodgeWorks’ team.
This position is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about hospitality and thrive in fast-paced, guest-focused environments. Bartenders at LodgeWorks are expected to not only serve beverages but also act as ambassadors of the brand, creating lasting memories for guests through meaningful interactions. Responsibilities include verifying guest identification to ensure compliance with age-related laws, managing cash and payment transactions securely, and maintaining meticulous records of receipts and daily closings. The role also involves managing bar inventory, including pre-batched cocktails and fresh garnish preparation, sustaining the visual appeal of the bar, and supporting promotions.
Ideal candidates should be team players with strong communication skills, capable of multitasking and adapting to changing circumstances rapidly. Physical capability is essential, as the job involves standing for extended periods, handling weight up to 60 pounds, and performing various movements such as reaching, stooping, and kneeling. Experience with POS systems and previous bartending roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
LodgeWorks offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including paid time off, health insurance, vision, and dental benefits, 401(k) plans with company matching, paid holidays, disability coverage, referral bonuses, and flexible spending accounts. The company also provides exclusive hotel and restaurant discounts across select LodgeWorks properties, enhancing the overall employment experience.
At LodgeWorks, diversity and equal opportunity are core values, ensuring all employees are treated with respect and given equal chances to succeed regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected categories. Joining LodgeWorks not only means entering a reputable company with a rich history but also becoming part of a dynamic team dedicated to hospitality excellence and continuous growth.
