Job Requirements

  • previous hotel or hospitality or related service industry experience is strongly preferred
  • must be able to pass required alcohol service training
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • must successfully meet criminal background screening requirements for position

Job Duties

  • maintains complete knowledge of hotel's food and beverage preparation
  • up-sells alcohol and food items
  • uses a computer to accurately ring orders on a check
  • accepts different types of payment and makes accurate change
  • completes specific side-work and ensures the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
  • quickly clears and resets tables
  • maintains inventory of bar materials including wine, beer, and spirits
  • checks identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages
  • refuses to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age
  • observes behavior, counts number of drinks served that contain alcohol, elevates to manager for intervention as needed
  • maintains knowledge of and adheres to Food Handlers guidelines
  • completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs
