Job Description
C. Baldwin Houston is a stunning 354-room hotel that celebrates the pioneering spirit of women in Texas, inspired particularly by Charlotte Baldwin Allen, known as the 'Mother of Houston.' Charlotte Baldwin Allen was the wife of Augustus Chapman Allen, co-founder of Houston in 1836, and she herself was a trailblazing businesswoman, cattle rancher, and philanthropist in the 19th century. This hotel honors her legacy by embodying her hands-on approach and the spirit of innovation and leadership that she exemplified. Located in the heart of Houston, Texas, this property offers 14,000 square feet of meeting space, a hidden speakeasy, and a local Grab and Go concept named Good2GO, enhancing its appeal as both a cultural landmark and a hub for guests looking for unique and memorable experiences.
Part of the Sage Hospitality Group, C. Baldwin Houston operates under a company ethos that emphasizes excellence, community impact, and personal and professional growth. Sage Hospitality Group is known for enriching lives one experience at a time by providing genuine service, building meaningful guest relationships, and creating unique experiences that uphold high standards in hospitality. Employees at Sage are encouraged to think independently, embrace entrepreneurial spirit, and break conventional molds to lead innovation in the industry. The group supports risk takers and creative minds in forging new paths in hospitality, celebrating individuality and success beyond just the work performed.
The role offered at C. Baldwin Houston is ideal for bartenders who are passionate about mixology and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This full-time position involves the setup, mixing, service, and cleanup of the bar area while maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and company policies. The successful candidate will craft a wide range of cocktails with precision and flair, provide personalized guest service, maintain an organized bar environment, handle cash and payment transactions accurately, and collaborate with the beverage team to innovate new recipes and seasonal drink specials. The bartender will also ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, stay current on industry trends, manage inventory and supply lists, and complete sidework duties as required. This position is essential in creating memorable experiences for guests, contributing to the hotel's reputation for excellence and innovation in hospitality.
