The position of Bartender within Paradies Lagardere's dining department is a critical role responsible for providing outstanding guest service while preparing and serving beverages in accordance with company standards. This non-exempt position reports directly to the General Manager and involves working various shifts within a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Bartenders are required to be knowledgeable about all menu offerings, including craft cocktails, beer, wines, and food items. They must execute their duties with detailed precision, such as properly mixing drinks, preparing garnishes, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe bar environment.

In this role, the bartender must exude passion and professionalism, always engaging guests with a warm greeting and positive interaction, while adhering to strict alcohol service policies including verifying guests' legal drinking age and managing intoxication responsibly. They are tasked with generating additional sales opportunities by providing knowledgeable information about menu items and building guest loyalty through excellent service. The bartender also supports overall operational standards, including cleanliness, inventory management, compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, and adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.

Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role. The bartender must work collaboratively with peers and management, support company decisions, and ensure a pleasant experience for both guests and colleagues. The position demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the physical capability to perform essential job functions such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating in environments with varying temperatures.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • ServeSafe Food Handler’s Certification or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience bartending required
  • food and beverage experience preferred but not required
  • ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment
  • ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment
  • excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • knowledge of math for cost calculation, making change, and cash handling
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work independently and unsupervised for extended periods
  • good judgment when dealing with customers and peers

Job Duties
