Known for its engaging atmosphere, quality drinks, and attentive service, the venue aims to create memorable experiences for all who visit their bar and restaurant area. As part of a team dedicated to upholding high standards in service, safety, and community values, the company is proud to maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment that reflects its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
This role is that of a Beverage Server and Bartender Assistant who will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests and servers such as food servers and cocktail waitresses. The position plays a critical part in ensuring guests enjoy their visits by delivering excellent customer service while adhering to all regulatory requirements regarding the service of alcohol. The Beverage Server will need to demonstrate exceptional communication and observation skills, combining speed and accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
This role involves constant movement including walking, standing, bending, twisting, and reaching alongside the physical demands of moving items weighing up to 40 pounds, reflecting the dynamic environment of bar operations. The individual in this position must be comfortable operating cash registers and handling money and credit cards efficiently and accurately. This job requires excellent hand-to-eye coordination and manual dexterity, enabling quick and flawless execution of tasks such as ringing up drinks and preparing beverages according to strict recipes.
A key part of the job is to ensure responsible alcohol serving practices, including verifying that all guests receiving alcoholic beverages are at least 21 years old, carding patrons, and monitoring signs of intoxication to maintain a safe environment. Upholding the company's core values, mission, and vision is essential. Additionally, this role requires maintaining a clean and organized bar environment and directing beverage attendants as needed to maintain smooth service operations.
The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easygoing demeanor to foster an enjoyable atmosphere for both guests and staff, while also complying with all company policies and local laws. This includes abiding by union contracts where applicable and participating fully in the workplace culture that values internal and external guest satisfaction above all else. Work schedule flexibility is necessary for this position, accommodating days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs dictate.
The employment type is typically part-time or full-time depending on business requirements, and compensation is competitive within the hospitality industry, reflecting the skills and experience required for this role. This job is suitable for individuals seeking to grow their career in hospitality, particularly those passionate about beverage service and customer interaction. The company embraces a culture geared towards continuous improvement, teamwork, and fostering a safe, enjoyable workplace for all employees and guests.
