Job Description
Hilton is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and exceptional guest experiences. Founded in 1919, Hilton has grown into a beacon for hospitality, operating numerous luxurious full-service hotels, resorts, and mid-priced establishments worldwide. The company thrives on its vision to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality, making it a preferred destination for both leisure and business travelers. Hilton’s dedication to excellence extends beyond guest services to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace environment where team members can grow personally and professionally.
As a Bartender at Hilton, you will play a crucial role in delivering memorable experiences to guests by preparing and serving beverages with skill, care, and attention to detail. The bartender position is not just about mixing drinks; it embodies the spirit of hospitality, warmth, and impeccable service. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized and well-stocked bar, ensuring that all products and garnishes meet Hilton’s high standards of quality. Your ability to greet guests warmly, engage with them courteously, and promote the beverage menu will enhance the overall guest experience, making their stay a truly enjoyable one.
The role involves a blend of technical skills and interpersonal expertise. You will mix, garnish, and serve drinks using standardized recipes while practicing responsible beverage service, including checking identification and detecting any inebriation. Handling cash transactions with accuracy, operating point-of-sale systems, and balancing financial transactions are part of your daily responsibilities. Additionally, you will be expected to secure the bar area, including locking and storing beverage supplies and equipment at the end of your shift.
Hilton seeks candidates with at least two years of bartending experience, preferably in high-end or luxury cocktail bars, and mixology experience is a plus. Prior training such as FORBES is preferred. The bartender must possess essential knowledge of food and beverage preparation along with strong mathematical skills for handling transactions and inventory. Physical stamina is essential since the job requires extended periods of standing and lifting up to 40 pounds. Hilton also requires bartenders to obtain a Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and a California Food Handler Card within 30 days of employment.
At Hilton, the core values of hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a sense of urgency guide every team member's actions. These values ensure that you will be part of a passionate, dependable, and adaptive team committed to delivering exceptional service. Working at Hilton means joining an award-winning workplace culture that values diversity, inclusivity, and continuous career development. Hilton offers comprehensive benefits, including medical insurance, mental health resources, paid time off, travel discounts, supportive parental leave, retirement savings plans, and opportunities for education and professional growth.
Joining Hilton means contributing to an outstanding world-class hotel experience while growing within a global leader that values its employees as much as its guests. You will be part of a team dedicated to spreading warmth and hospitality, building a rewarding career in an organization committed to your success and well-being.
