The role of Bartender at Hilton Garden Inn Cleveland Downtown is a dynamic and interactive position critical to enhancing guests' experience at the hotel's restaurant and bar. This role requires an energetic, friendly individual who excels in delivering customized beverage services in a timely manner. The bartender is responsible for creating a welcoming environment, engaging with guests, and ensuring their enjoyment while at the bar. The position demands excellent communication and multitasking skills, mastery of mixology techniques, and a thorough understanding of the hotel's food and beverage offerings. Additional responsibilities include bar organization, inventory management, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • use the guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
  • work to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities
  • support all groups and events at the hotel
  • answer all incoming calls with friendly service using approved greetings
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar area
  • stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, condiments, and fresh produce
  • mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes with portion control
  • attend monthly departmental meetings
  • input orders into the POS system and secure accurate payment
  • manage cash transactions and balance all monies
  • lock up and secure bar stock and equipment at shift end
  • sanitize and clean in and around the bar area
  • complete daily inventory prep and other side work as required
  • promote current food and beverage offerings and document drink orders
  • ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies
  • assist in maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas
  • demonstrate knowledge of hotel hours and amenities
  • work effectively and efficiently with service and kitchen teams
