The position of Bartender - Banquets at The Venetian Resort plays a pivotal role in delivering unmatched customer service by promptly and accurately providing beverage service to guests and cocktail servers during banquet events. This role is critical in ensuring that the beverage experience complements the high-quality food and service standards expected at this luxury property. The bartender will be responsible for efficiently taking beverage and food orders, preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to precise department specifications. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of mixology, as well as the operation of bar equipment to produce a variety of beverages that meet the resort’s quality and presentation standards.
Bartenders in banquets at The Venetian Resort interact directly with guests, offering friendly and professional service that encourages upselling to enhance both the guest experience and revenue. Job Requirements
- 21 years of age
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Must obtain and maintain valid Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card
- Must have non-gaming and health cards as required
- Experience in a hotel casino preferred
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift or carry 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods
- Ability to work indoors in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-year high volume bartending experience
- Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits terminology
- Familiarity with domestic and import beers, wines, and brand name spirits
- Ability to demonstrate superior customer service skills
- Basic math skills for cash transactions
- Effective communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members
