The position of Bartender at Shamin Hotels is a pivotal role within the Food and Beverage Department, reporting directly to the Bar Manager. This hourly paid position involves direct customer interaction, where the bartender is responsible for mixing and serving drink orders, ensuring legal compliance, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area. The bartender must possess a deep knowledge of alcohol pairings, classic and innovative drink recipes, and customer service excellence. Responsibilities extend beyond drink preparation to include verifying guest age, processing payments accurately, and delivering a warm, welcoming experience that enhances guest satisfaction. Bartenders are essential in creating memorable moments for guests through attentive service, product knowledge, and adherence to company policies. Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in bartending or related customer service role preferred
  • team-oriented mindset with ability to collaborate effectively
  • responsibility and accountability in role
  • passion for serving guests with courtesy and warmth
  • ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • commitment to obtaining TIP certification within 3 months
  • ability to observe and manage guest behavior responsibly
  • adherence to all legal and company policies regarding alcohol service
  • must report to work well-groomed with clean uniform

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Set up bar with supplies and products prior to opening to ensure smooth service flow
  • ensure correct display of products to enhance sales and showcase selection
  • receive and prepare drink orders using standard pours and recipes ensuring accuracy
  • ring drink orders into register, collect money and provide correct change
  • provide immediate attention to guests upon seating, listen actively and enhance guest relations
  • close down bar securely cleaning and sanitizing all areas and locking inventory
  • assist servers with serving food and beverages when necessary
  • greet guests with a friendly attitude and create a welcoming environment
  • inform guests of daily specials and chef's specialties
  • take guest orders accurately and place orders with kitchen, communicate special instructions
  • serve beverages and meals according to standard procedures
  • perform quality checks to ensure guest satisfaction
  • clear and reset tables and clean dining area and bus stations
  • advise supervisors promptly of guest complaints
  • perform clean-up and closing tasks as assigned
  • attend pre-shift line-ups
  • review and submit Z report with accurate cash and credit card slips
  • comply with legal alcohol service policies including checking identification and refusing service to minors
  • monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene to prevent intoxication
  • support all company policies relevant to the role
  • wear neat uniform and maintain excellent personal hygiene
  • always strive to exceed guest expectations according to company values
