The role of Bartender at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park, Texas A&M University, offers a fantastic opportunity to be a key part of Levy's exemplary service team. This position is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. Bartenders play a critical role in ensuring that guests enjoy an exceptional experience by maintaining high standards of beverage quality and safety, adhering to all relevant liquor laws, and fostering a welcoming environment. The pay range for this position is $7.50 to $10.00 per hour, offering competitive wages suitable for those seeking both part-time and full-time work opportunities within the sporting venue.

This position involves crucial responsibilities like setting up assigned bars, managing inventory, preparing garnishes, taking and processing drink orders, verifying guest identification, and enforcing responsible service policies. Bartenders must monitor guest consumption and act accordingly to maintain safety and compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, the Bartender will handle cash transactions, maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and ensure that all beverage, food, and equipment items are securely stored. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Previous bartending or related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of state and federal liquor laws
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to handle cash transactions
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state and federal alcohol regulations

Job Duties

  • Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Sets up assigned bars
  • Requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
  • Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
  • Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner
  • Takes and/or processes orders for drinks
  • mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • practices prudent portion control
  • Checks guests at the bar for proper identification
  • Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained
  • Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws
