The Bartender position at Snowbird is based within The Aerie, located inside the iconic Cliff Lodge. This role is tailored for individuals passionate about providing exceptional guest experiences through quality beverage service. Bartenders at Snowbird are responsible for crafting and serving a variety of alcoholic beverages in a professional and efficient manner, consistently exceeding guest expectations. The position requires working primarily evening shifts, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the vibrant hospitality environment of the resort. Employees in this role must be flexible in their scheduling to accommodate the business needs and ensure excellent service during peak periods.
As a Bartender at Snowbird, you will be integral to the guest experience, greeting patrons warmly, suggesting menu items, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of your station before, during, and after shifts. Attention to detail and compliance with state alcohol laws are critical, as is handling financial transactions accurately. Physical requirements include the ability to lift over 25 pounds, carry trays, and stand for prolonged periods.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- must be at least 21 years old
- food handler permit
- alcohol service certification
- ability to work PM shifts including late evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift 25 or more pounds
- ability to carry trays and perform repetitive motions
- readiness to stay overnight if necessary during road closures
- ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environment
- willingness to comply with all company policies including background check, drug and alcohol policy, and professional appearance standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence
- must be at least 21 years of age
- food handler permit and alcohol service certification
- competency in reading, writing, and arithmetic
- ability to learn menus, recipes, and wine lists
- good interpersonal skills including excellent customer service, listening, and oral communication skills
- organizational skills and ability to transport fragile items in busy areas
Job Duties
- Report to work on time in the proper uniform
- obey all company rules and regulations
- prepare assigned station and maintain cleanliness before and after shifts
- greet guests and inform them of specials and menu changes
- employ suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase revenue
- address and anticipate guest needs
- keep tables and bar neat and clean during service
- serve alcohol according to state laws and regulations
- handle financial transactions including ringing out checks and collecting payments
- run end of shift reports
- maintain sanitation and safety practices
- treat guests and employees with respect and professionalism
- take appropriate action to solve problems and handle concerns to meet guest expectations and company standards
