high school diploma or equivalent
prior hospitality or food and beverage experience preferred
strong communication skills
basic math competency
manual dexterity
physical ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces
ability to learn and follow beverage service policies and procedures
customer service orientation

Job Qualifications

hotel experience preferred
excellent guest communication skills
basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service
basic math skills for cash register operation change making summarizing guest checks banking cash drops and portion control
manual dexterity to make garnishes handle glassware and bottles scoop ice mix drinks and retrieve stock
ability to remember and promote menu items
ability to operate point of sale keyboarding to process orders and close checks
ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods
ability to establish effective relationships with associates guests and patrons
effective verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

maintains proper and adequate bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking beer wine spirits paper products straws stirrers condiments and produce based on daily function projections
maintains stock cutting and storing fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes juices and perishables daily to ensure product quality
greets guests courteously and promotes documents drink orders
mixes garnishes and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control
abides by all state federal and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages
inputs orders into point of sale register creates checks for guests including those served by other servers to maintain accountability
receives cash makes change verifies charges records charges and ensures vouchers are executed to balance money
locks and stores beverage food and equipment items secures cash drops and bank
complies with attendance rules and maintains regular availability
performs other job related duties as assigned
