Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a beverage server or bartender role preferred
  • RBS certification required
  • food safety certification required
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • knowledge of state liquor regulations
  • excellent organizational skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • ability to operate point of sale systems
  • teamwork and collaboration skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurants in accordance with service standards
  • anticipate guests' needs respond promptly and acknowledge all guests making recommendations from guests' preferences
  • take guests' food and beverage orders utilizing suggestive selling techniques
  • complete opening duties as assigned including check quality and quantity of all bar stock and supplies using checklist
  • requisition all necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to bar
  • set bar according to service standards
  • set up all condiments garnishes juices and beverages according to standards
  • prepare all fresh fruit garnishes according to service standards
  • ensure a sufficient supply of all flatware glassware and chinaware for service
  • ensure cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas
  • set upside stations with supplies and equipment
  • record orders of guests into the point-of-sale system and receive payment following service procedures
  • adhere to payment cash handling and credit policies
  • open wine champagne bottles and serve in accordance with service standards
  • retrieve food orders from kitchen
  • monitor and maintain cleanliness sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas
  • guide the activities of the bar back to ensure optimum service to guests
  • remove soiled wares from the bar clean and wipe down the bar immediately after the guest departs
  • collect and report tips at the end of the assigned shift
  • complete closing duties and reports as assigned and leave duty after reporting to the supervisor or manager on duty
  • must be rbs certified and food safety certified as required
  • follow 4 keys service standards standard operation procedures and safety standards
  • follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operations
  • follow safety and security procedures
  • work cohesively with co workers and all departments as part of a team
  • adhere to attendance and reliability standards
  • follow all additional duties as assigned by management
