Job Description

Gracious Hospitality Management is an esteemed hospitality company known for its commitment to exceptional service and innovative dining experiences. The company has earned acclaim for its dedication to creating immersive and unique environments that combine culinary excellence with outstanding customer service. The upcoming project, 550 Madison, represents Gracious Hospitality Management's most ambitious undertaking to date. This project is a multi-level, 15,000-square-foot dining destination situated inside the iconic Sony building in Midtown Manhattan. It features a harmonious blend of three distinct dining concepts: the second New York location of the Michelin-starred COTE Korean Steakhouse, Chimera — an all-day multi-bar and dining experience, and Sushi Yoshitake, an intimate sushi restaurant led by Michelin-starred Chef Masahiro Yoshitake. The design, produced by Rockwell Group with input from Yoshio Itai, aims to redefine immersive dining in New York City through elegant and transportive experiences.

The role available is for Bartenders who will be vital members of this innovative team during the restaurant’s launch and ongoing operations. Bartenders at 550 Madison will be responsible for creating memorable customer experiences at the bar by skillfully preparing beverages and beverages recipes to the highest standards. Working closely with Bar Backs and other team members, bartenders will contribute to a warm and accommodating atmosphere that aligns with the restaurant’s brand values and reputation for excellence. The hiring process includes resume screening, open call interviews, and comprehensive on-site training designed to prepare new hires several weeks before the anticipated opening date in Spring 2026.

Bartenders will have duties including stocking and organizing bar supplies, greeting guests, ensuring responsible alcohol service, and delivering expert beverage recommendations. Ensuring the smooth operation of the bar, maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, processing transactions, and adhering to health and safety regulations will be crucial responsibilities. The position calls for a mix of technical skill, exceptional customer service, professionalism under pressure, and a team-oriented attitude. Candidates must be legally eligible to serve alcohol and demonstrate a passion for hospitality, as well as a willingness to learn and grow within one of New York City’s premier dining destinations.

This opportunity offers a competitive salary range compliant with New York State’s Pay Transparency Law and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, commuter benefits, referral bonuses, and career advancement opportunities. 550 Madison is committed to equal employment opportunities and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, promising a respectful and inclusive work environment. This role is ideal for dynamic and experienced hospitality professionals who are excited to be part of a landmark project that will set new standards for dining experiences in Manhattan.
