Ancho & Agave is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Bartenders to join their team and support the delivery of exceptional food and beverage service. The role is pivotal in crafting an incredible beverage experience for guests by preparing a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, engaging warmly with customers, and maintaining an organized and efficient bar area. Bartenders at Ancho & Agave are expected to demonstrate strong beverage service skills while embodying friendliness, hard work, teamwork, and honesty. This full-time position offers flexible scheduling options and competitive hourly wages starting at $2.33 plus tips. The role demands excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the willingness to work during weekends, evenings, and holidays.

In this role, bartenders are responsible not only for drink preparation but also for various operational tasks crucial to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. Duties include following precise recipes and measures, preparing ingredients and garnishes, ensuring all bar ingredients are labeled and stocked correctly, and operating equipment safely. Additionally, bartenders contribute to guest retention through attentive and friendly service, handle cash and credit transactions responsibly, and assist with side work and thorough reporting to management. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a bartender in a high-volume setting
  • valid alcohol certification
  • flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • high level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods
  • ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • must be able to lift up to 25 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a bartender in a high-volume setting
  • flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays
  • valid alcohol certification
  • ability to follow recipes including measuring and mixing ingredients
  • experience preparing ingredients such as cutting, peeling and stuffing
  • knowledge of labeling and stocking bar ingredients and garnishes
  • ability to operate equipment and bladed tools safely
  • effective communication skills in English both verbal and written
  • elevated knowledge of wine, spirits and beer
  • experience serving food and making menu recommendations
  • highly developed interpersonal skills
  • basic bookkeeping knowledge
  • working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
  • high level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to execute opening and closing procedures
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs

Job Duties
