The role of Bartender at Margaritaville and Landshark is integral to the day-to-day operation of the bar. This position requires a dedicated professional responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring compliance with all legal age verification requirements, and following established recipes and procedures. The bartender’s duties extend beyond drink preparation to maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, practicing proper cash handling, and delivering personalized, efficient service that fosters guest loyalty and satisfaction.

Bartenders are expected to have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage products and apply suggestive selling techniques to enhance guests’ experiences. Job Requirements

One to three years experience as a bartender required in a high-volume environment preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts
Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Good judgment and decision-making abilities
Ability to free-pour to recipe specs and extensive knowledge of mixed and frozen cocktails
Must be at least the minimum age required to serve alcohol as determined by applicable state law
High school degree or GED preferred
Health permit, food safety and alcohol awareness certification obtained prior to first day of employment
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, physically demanding environment
Must be able to stand, walk and reach 100% of working time
Ability to push, pull and lift objects from lower to higher positions or move objects horizontally
Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling
Ability to climb ladders, stairs and ramps
Must be able to carry loads greater than 35 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
Must be able to communicate clearly in English
Hearing normal speaking levels with or without correction
Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
Ability to present information and respond to questions professionally

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and staff
Verifies all guests that purchase alcohol are at least 21 years of age
Follows all established recipes and procedures in beverage preparation
Possesses full knowledge of food and beverage products served and utilizes suggestive selling techniques
Takes orders and delivers food and beverage in a timely manner
Operates point-of-sale system with high level of efficiency and handles large amounts of currency
Practices proper cash handling procedures
Maintains cleanliness of bar and related areas
Cleans up spilled drinks and debris promptly
Tracks items that were spilled or wasted
Acts as a final check on the quality of food and beverage items before service
Assists with stocking the bars initially and maintaining par levels
Conducts inventory of liquor and bar supplies
Ensures guests receive immediate, friendly and personalized service
Handles guest inquiries and resolves complaints or directs to manager
Completes opening, running and closing duties
Follows proper ordering procedures
Ensures alcohol consumption in designated areas only
Assists management in training new staff
Maintains knowledge of company products and guest rapport
Notifies management of low inventory and communicates concerns
Adheres to responsible alcohol service policy
Utilizes safety and sanitation practices
Adheres to company policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
