Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned restaurant brand with a legacy spanning over fifty years, known for its unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional seafood dining experiences. Originating from a family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has grown into a network of more than 500 restaurants, each serving as an extension of the company’s founding passion: creating a special connection with seafood and the coastal lifestyle. Red Lobster takes pride in being more than just a place to eat; it is a community hub where guests enjoy their favorite meals and celebrate memorable moments. The company's presence in its diverse communities makes it a place where new friends quickly become familiar faces.
The role of Bartender at Red Lobster is integral to the restaurant's mission of providing outstanding hospitality and ensuring every guest's visit is memorable. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a dynamic, customer-focused career in the food and beverage industry. Red Lobster provides weekly pay and competitive salaries, flexible schedules to accommodate various lifestyles, and affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance plans starting at less than $10 per week. Employees gain access to life insurance, short-term disability coverage, and voluntary benefits, along with a 401(k) retirement savings plan that includes company contributions after one year of service. Additional perks include anniversary pay, shift meals at a discount, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Furthermore, Red Lobster is committed to employee growth by offering training and career advancement opportunities within the company.
As a Bartender at Red Lobster, you will be the face of hospitality, welcoming customers with a warm smile as they are seated. Your responsibilities include preparing the bar area before service by setting up pour stations and glassware, ensuring that drinks, mixers, and garnishes are replenished as needed. You will suggest menu items such as beverages, appetizers, and desserts to enhance the guest experience and use standardized recipes to prepare all drinks with the proper glassware and garnishes. Accurate order taking and input into the point-of-sale system are crucial, as is maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the service area. Monitoring guest satisfaction by offering drink refills and promptly clearing unused items contributes to a smooth dining experience. Timely billing and courteous interactions with customers reinforce Red Lobster's reputation for exceptional service. Adhering to all food safety standards ensures a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and staff alike.
The physical demands of the job require the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds. Bartenders must be able to stand for shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, work collaboratively with attention to detail, and multitask efficiently. Red Lobster is an equal opportunity employer that fosters an inclusive and welcoming workplace for all employees, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. The company is excited about the future and growth opportunities ahead, making it a great time to join the Red Lobster family and build a rewarding career in hospitality.
