United Service Companies is a reputable hospitality company specializing in providing top-tier food and beverage services, primarily through its Maverick Hotel and Restaurants brand. With a strong commitment to exceptional guest experiences and a focus on high-quality hospitality, United Service Companies has established itself as a leader in the hotel and restaurant industry. The company prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where employees are valued and empowered to contribute their best. This dedication to excellence and inclusiveness ensures a warm, inviting atmosphere for both guests and staff alike. Maverick Hotel and Restaurants, a part of the United Service Companies portfolio, offers distinguished dining and event experiences with a keen attention to quality and customer satisfaction. The organization emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and a passion for service in all aspects of its operation, creating a harmonious work environment and memorable guest experiences.
The Bartender role at Maverick Hotel and Restaurants is an integral position focused on delivering exceptional beverage service to restaurant patrons and private event guests. This position requires handling all aspects of bar operations per the standards and specifications set by Maverick Hotels. Responsibilities include preparing and serving a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and courteously, maintaining stock levels, ensuring cleanliness of the bar and equipment, and assisting in upholding the brand’s service standards. The Bartender acts as a frontline ambassador, embodying the Maverick culture and promoting the establishment as a premier destination for dining and hospitality.
The role demands a thorough knowledge of liquor brands, beverage preparation techniques, and state liquor laws, particularly to prevent service to minors and intoxicated persons. The Bartender must also be adept with point-of-sale (P.O.S.) systems and maintain meticulous cash handling and inventory practices. Other crucial responsibilities include event preparation, guest interaction, complaint resolution, teamwork, and adherence to all health and safety regulations.
This position is best suited for individuals with a passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences, who thrive in fast-paced environments and can handle multiple tasks with professionalism and attention to detail. Applicants should be at least 21 years of age, hold the required Illinois Basset and Food Handling Certification, and possess prior food and beverage experience, especially in bartending or bar backing roles. Flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays is a necessity to meet the dynamic demands of the hospitality industry.
United Service Companies emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity employment, ensuring a supportive workplace culture. In addition to fostering career growth and skill development, the company provides a safe and accommodating work environment for all employees, including reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other relevant laws. By joining Maverick Hotel and Restaurants as a Bartender, associates become part of a team committed to excellence, collaboration, and delivering outstanding service to guests in a welcoming and respectful setting.
