Located in the vibrant city of Coral Gables, Florida, this Neiman Marcus location is seeking to hire a Restaurant Bartender to join its dynamic restaurant team. This full-time onsite role offers a salary range of $19.16 to $23.95 per hour, reflective of experience and market conditions. The Restaurant Bartender serves as an integral part of the customer dining experience, maintaining the highest standards of service that Neiman Marcus is known for. The Restaurant Bartender's primary responsibility involves serving and interacting with customers in a manner that aligns with Neiman Marcus’s elevated standards. Utilizing detailed knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology, the bartender provides personalized menu guidance, enhancing the overall dining experience. The role requires proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems to facilitate smooth order taking and transaction processing, alongside maintaining cleanliness and order at the workstation and throughout the restaurant space.
In addition to beverage service knowledge spanning beer, wine, and spirits, the bartender must adhere strictly to hygiene standards, including maintaining a clean and professional appearance. This position also involves physical tasks such as lifting and moving tables, chairs, and highchairs, necessitating the ability to carry up to 35 pounds. Candidates must be adaptable, capable of working autonomously, and motivated by delivering excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and have prior experience in food and beverage service with a deep understanding of proper table service etiquette, including the order of service and setup of china, glassware, and flatware. Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential to foster positive interactions with customers and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment. Job Duties
- Serves and interacts with customers in a professional and gracious manner
- Utilizes thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items
- Supports smooth staff delivery of bar items through use of POS and ticket systems
- Leverages thorough knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including technical and service procedures
- Participates in daily pre-shift meeting
- Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment and maintains knowledge of the POS system
- Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation including pre-shift, post-shift and daily and weekly duties as assigned by the manager
- Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects such as tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.
- Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards, including clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance
