Bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving both beverages and food with a friendly, courteous, and timely approach, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction throughout their interaction. Key responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized bar area, garnishing drinks with fresh fruit, verifying customer identification for alcohol purchases, and completing beverage requisitions to maintain par levels.The Bartender position also involves interacting closely with guests, taking and serving food and beverage orders, handling payment processes efficiently, and managing intoxicated guests with professionalism and care. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards such as OSHA and MSDS are critical aspects of the role, as is participating in sustainable practices aligned with HHM's EarthView program. Candidates are expected to complete side work prior to shift end and assist in beverage inventory management. The job requires physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and bending, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality environment.Required qualifications include previous bartending or mixology experience or equivalent training, with preferred certifications such as TIPS and Food Sanitation (the latter required within the first 90 days of employment).
