We are currently seeking skilled and passionate Bartenders to join our dedicated team at Colleton River Club. This role is perfect for individuals who have excellent bartending skills, a deep understanding of mixology, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service in a high-volume, high-demand environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service and cleanliness in the bar areas, managing beverage inventory, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. You will engage directly with clientele, greet members by name when possible, and ensure each guest enjoys a positive and memorable experience.

You will adhere to all Club rules and South Carolina alcohol service regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Physically, you should be prepared to stand for extended periods, lift or carry up to 50 pounds, and be active throughout your shift. The Club also emphasizes a positive attitude and teamwork spirit, expecting staff to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and contribute to a respectful and supportive workplace.
The compensation for this full-time position starts at $17.00 per hour plus a share of the service charge. Job Requirements
- Must be over the age of 21
- Minimum of 1 year bartending or restaurant experience preferred
- Current SC DOR alcohol server certification or willingness to obtain within first 30 days
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Reliable and responsible with a positive attitude
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Ability to operate POS and credit card systems
- Knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spirits
- Strong communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Must be over the age of 21 to comply with legal requirements for pouring and serving alcohol
- Restaurant and bartending experience minimum of 1 year preferred
- Must have the current SC DOR alcohol server certification or be willing to obtain it within the first 30 days of employment
- Excellent verbal communication skills

Job Duties
- Adhere to established rules and regulations of the Club and SC Alcohol standards
- Maintain the highest level of service for the bar area to ensure a positive guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and good repair of all bars, service workstations, dining utensils, equipment, and glassware including common and storage areas
- Ensure knowledge of Club and Community information including hours of operation and upcoming events
- Maintain a positive attitude with all staff and members, greet all Members by name when possible, maintain eye contact and proper vocabulary
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance and properly clean, pressed uniform at all times
- Advise supervisory staff of any complaints immediately
- Knowledge of all menu items, daily/monthly specials, wine lists, preparation methods, ingredients, and garnish
- Complete all daily side duty assignments
- Set up and tear down all bar, dining, and buffet tables for banquet/club functions, including moving furniture, chairs, and tables
- Knowledge of POS system and ability to open/close checks and communicate food orders
- Have a working knowledge of credit card procedures
- Stay current with wine and bar trends
- Perform all closing duties to ensure everything is put away and prepped for the next shift according to procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
