Job Description

The Hoxton is a unique and vibrant series of open-house hotels located in beloved neighborhoods, known for providing more than just accommodation. Established with a vision that extends beyond offering a simple bed for the night, The Hoxton aims to blend style with great value, creating spaces where guests can feel at home, mingle with locals, and immerse themselves in the authentic atmosphere of the community. Since opening their first hotel in Shoreditch, they have become synonymous with hospitality that combines modern design, welcoming public areas, and a deep connection to their neighborhood. Every hotel under The Hoxton banner is designed as a social hub where guests aren’t just visitors but part of the neighborhood's fabric, enjoying vibrant communal spaces that encourage interaction and relaxation.

The role available at The Hoxton is for a passionate and dynamic bartender who will report directly to the Bar Manager. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a lively team dedicated to enhancing guest experiences through excellent beverage service and creating memorable moments. The bartender will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the restaurant and bar operations, ensuring a smooth and friendly service environment. A significant part of the job is about more than just drinks; it is about setting the tone and atmosphere, making sure every guest feels welcome and eager to return.

The bartender will craft a wide range of beverages tailored to different moods and occasions, from refreshing soft drinks to expertly made seasonal cocktails. Knowing the products and systems inside out is essential to deliver quality consistently. Collaboration is key: working closely with the team to maintain a tidy, efficient workspace while providing excellent table and bar service is expected. Compliance with safety standards, particularly HACCP, is a vital part of the role to ensure the highest levels of hygiene and safety for both guests and staff.

This opportunity demands someone who is enthusiastic about hospitality and eager to leave a positive impact on everyone they meet. The ideal candidate is flexible, ready to work rotating shifts and weekends, and comfortable communicating fluently in Spanish and English. Experience in bartending, especially cocktail making, is highly valued but not mandatory. The Hoxton values personality and teamwork above all, encouraging genuine connections and a supportive atmosphere. It is a place where individuals can be themselves, contribute creatively, and help shape a fun, relaxed environment where guests can unwind.

The employment type is a fixed discontinuous contract, offering a competitive salary with numerous opportunities for growth and development. The Hoxton fosters a team environment that is as fun as it is professional, with benefits like food during shifts, free stays at The Hoxton with meals for two upon starting, ongoing training, and the chance to participate in community volunteering. Rewards and recognition programs such as Hox Hero and Nifty Fifty acknowledge those who go the extra mile. Employees also benefit from an annual diversity and inclusion calendar of events, regular social gatherings, and exclusive discounts across The Hoxton and the global Ennismore family. Joining The Hoxton means becoming part of an innovative, international group known for shaking up the hospitality scene with creativity and positive energy.
