The Bartender role is an exciting opportunity to join the Food and Beverage Service Department at Atlantic Fields. This position is pivotal in enhancing the overall guest and member experience by delivering exceptional drink service and maintaining a polished, welcoming atmosphere in the bar and restaurant areas. As a Bartender at Atlantic Fields, you will be expected to demonstrate a passion for food and beverage, particularly the craft of bartending, cocktail creation, and wine pairings. You will be instrumental in providing expert recommendations and personalized service that align with the community’s high standards.
This role entails not only preparing and serving beverages efficiently and accurately but also maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and working collaboratively with culinary and F&B leadership to uphold the highest hospitality standards. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, will be required. Job Requirements
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Long hours may be required due to business demands
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- additional languages preferred
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds
- Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of previous bartending experience, preferably in a fast paced, high end establishment
- Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards
- Possesses or can obtain State Food Safety Certificate
- Robust knowledgeable of wines and beverages
- Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service
Job Duties
- Work with all culinary and F&B leaders to create exemplary culinary standards and an environment of continual improvement
- Provide exceptional service and communication at all times with members / guests and team members
- Greet all guests and members politely and promptly, proactively anticipate needs to enhance experience, demonstrate sense of urgency for responding to guest needs during all interactions
- Execute exceptional craft cocktails, follow recipes for syrups and all house-made ingredients, and prepare and serve beverages to company standards, including pour ratio
- Present extensive knowledge of all beverages and ingredients, make recommendations based upon preferences or food pairings, including wine knowledge
- Thorough understanding of all menu items and daily specials, be attentive to food allergies and special menu requests
- Enter all transactions accordingly into POS system, issue accurate checks, and close sales timely and according to policies and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and bar storage areas at all times, complete daily stocking and opening / closing procedures, monitor expiration of perishable items, and adhere to food safety standards
