Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in serving and hosting in restaurant settings
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English verbal and written
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to sit, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for eight hours
- Ability to lift, move, or push up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Adherence to company safety and attendance policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience serving and hosting in a restaurant setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English verbal and written
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic cooking knowledge is a plus
- Barista experience is advantageous
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Bartending skills preferred
Job Duties
- Practice OSHA standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Provide genuine, warm service to all guests throughout their dining experience
- Promote and document orders for drinks, mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and prudent portion control
- Input orders into the register, create checks, maintain accountability of beverages served
- Stay knowledgeable about current menu choices, specialties, or deviations
- Prepare and clean tables, refill condiments, assist with guest requests
- Communicate special guest requests to kitchen
- Tend bar, serve cocktails, provide drink pairing recommendations
- Work as barista to prepare coffee and tea
- Act as cashier to process purchases and provide receipts and change
- Clean as needed or directed by supervisor
- Assist with special events as requested
- Maintain daily bar setup, stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, and condiments
- Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh garnishes and perishables
- Abide by all applicable laws for serving alcoholic beverages
- Notify manager of intoxicated or unruly guests
- Balance and verify charges, execute vouchers properly
- Follow company closing procedures for guest checks
- Lock and store beverages, food, and equipment
- Comply with attendance rules including work on holidays and weekends
- Clean bar equipment nightly
- Follow uniform and grooming standards
- Serve food if requested
- Operate bar equipment
- Unpack deliveries, stock bar, change beer kegs
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned
