The organization values every employee's individuality, encouraging a culture of respect, belonging, and fairness to build stronger, happier teams. Sodexo's presence worldwide allows employees to grow their careers within a supportive and dynamic environment, backed by competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

The role of Bartender at Sodexo, located at Gonzaga University, offers an on-call part-time position with pay ranging from $17.25 to $21.30 per hour. This position requires candidates to work varying shifts with a preference for open availability to meet the dynamic needs of the work environment. The bartender plays a critical role in delivering an outstanding customer experience by skillfully mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons either directly or through waitstaff. The job demands collaboration with servers and other team members to ensure timely, efficient service without waste.

As a bartender for Sodexo, responsibilities extend beyond preparing drinks to include maintaining a well-stocked and organized bar area with all necessary tools and supplies. Bartenders are accountable for accurate start-of-shift inventory counts and placing purchase orders to replenish goods as needed. The role emphasizes a customer-friendly demeanor where bartenders must be courteous, diplomatic, and attentive when interacting with guests. Physical stamina is essential as bartenders often walk or stand for prolonged periods, sometimes exceeding eight hours, and need to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.

This position represents an excellent opportunity for individuals with minimal to moderate experience who seek flexible work arrangements within a supportive team. Sodexo offers a robust benefits package that includes paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401k plans, discount programs, and more. Some locations may also provide additional perks such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and transit or parking support.
