The company fosters a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values professionalism, teamwork, and delivering memorable guest experiences. Employees at Dickie Brennan & Company are upheld to high standards, including maintaining a professional presence and adhering to specific dress and hygiene codes, reflecting the company’s dedication to superior service and guest satisfaction.
The Bartender role at Dickie Brennan & Company is a vital position that blends guest interaction with technical bartending skills to deliver top-notch service. Bartenders are responsible for creating positive guest interactions while preparing and serving beverages accurately and efficiently. This role is not only about drink preparation but also about delivering a welcome and service that aligns with the company’s hospitality values. The ideal candidate must be attentive, approachable, and capable of exceeding guest expectations, ensuring that everyone at the bar enjoys the same level of service as guests seated elsewhere in the restaurant.
Bartenders will receive beverage orders both from restaurant servers and directly from guests, and they must possess a thorough knowledge of the beverage menu, including daily specials, promotions, and food pairings. A comprehensive understanding of beer, wine, and spirits along with standard drink recipes is essential. Responsible alcohol service is paramount, and bartenders must be Louisiana Responsible Vendor certified, checking guest ID to comply with legal regulations effectively.
Additional responsibilities include setting up the bar for service, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and using the point-of-sale system for order entry and payment handling. Bartenders at Dickie Brennan & Company are expected to perform side work and closing duties independently, work as part of a team, and demonstrate integrity and honesty at all times. This role requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while managing multiple tasks. The position offers an opportunity to work in a respected hospitality group that prioritizes quality service and employee development within a friendly, supportive work environment. Employment is at-will, with a commitment to equal opportunity and a drug-free workplace. Dickie Brennan & Company also participates in E-Verify, guaranteeing legal work status for all employees.
