We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced bartender to join our dedicated team at Parea Greek Taverna. This role is integral in providing service at the bar while supporting other service staff by preparing well drinks and specialty beverages. The bartender will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. This position requires at least two years of relevant experience in a similar restaurant environment, along with solid knowledge of wine. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent communication skills, and can create a warm, friendly atmosphere where guests feel welcomed and valued.

The bartender will work under the supervision of the manager on duty and must be flexible with a work schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Being a busy and fast-paced venue, this role demands standing and walking for up to eight hours continuously and handling physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds alone or up to 80 pounds with a team. Responsibilities extend beyond mixing drinks to include tasks like stocking the bar, maintaining cleanliness and organization, managing inventory, and accurately handling cash and credit transactions.

In addition to excellent customer interaction and beverage preparation, the bartender will engage with guests to provide menu recommendations, verify identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age restrictions, and foster an environment that encourages repeat visits. Supplemental duties may include answering phones, taking To-Go orders, serving bar tables, and creating new drink recipes to enhance the establishment's offerings.
