Job Description
Top Note Rooftop Bar & Restaurant is a vibrant dining and social destination located in Nashville, Tennessee. Known for its breathtaking views, modern ambiance, and exceptional culinary and beverage offerings, it attracts both locals and tourists seeking a unique rooftop experience. The establishment stands out in the competitive food and beverage industry by combining high-quality service with innovative drink creations and a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to relax and enjoy memorable moments. As part of the bustling Nashville hospitality scene, Top Note Rooftop Bar & Restaurant emphasizes craftsmanship, a keen understanding of local trends, and a dedication to excellent guest service, making it a sought-after venue for both casual outings and special occasions.
This full-time Bartender position is a non-management role that goes beyond the traditional scope of simply mixing drinks. The ideal candidate will act as a host of the space, taking ownership of the entire guest service experience rather than limiting their focus to the bar area. Bartenders at Top Note are expected to be more than beverage enthusiasts; they must be attuned to the latest trends, micro-local offerings, and the evolving needs of guests. By leveraging their expertise and attentiveness, they ensure the bar is both aesthetically pleasing and functions flawlessly. They build positive relationships within the hotel and broader community to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
The role demands a passionate approach to service paired with a sharp eye for detail—handling cash meticulously, providing accurate information, and delivering high-quality drinks consistently. Employees must ensure a safe working environment, adhere strictly to company policies, protect assets, and maintain confidentiality. A professional appearance is mandatory at all times. Physical demands include standing or walking for extensive periods and performing tasks requiring lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 25 pounds, as well as overhead reaching and bending movements.
Top Note Rooftop Bar & Restaurant values diversity and inclusion, committing to equal employment opportunities irrespective of disability, veteran status, or other legally protected categories. This inclusive culture fosters a workplace where various backgrounds and experiences are celebrated, contributing to the team’s rich cultural tapestry and overall success. By working here, associates become part of a global network under Marriott International's portfolio, which promotes professional growth, a positive work environment, and the opportunity to be the best version of themselves. The establishment encourages team members to collaborate closely, support each other, and engage customers with genuine friendliness and attention to detail, ensuring that every guest interaction is personalized and welcoming.
