The Bartender role at Red Lobster is an essential part of the restaurant's vibrant team, focused on providing excellent customer service and ensuring a great dining experience. This position involves preparing the bar area before opening, including setting up pour stations and glassware, and maintaining the bar throughout the shift by replenishing drinks, mixes, and garnishes. Bartenders at Red Lobster greet guests warmly with a smile, take accurate food and drink orders, recommend beverages, appetizers, and desserts, and prepare drinks according to established recipes using the correct glassware and garnishes. Attentiveness to customers is key, as bartenders ensure patrons are well cared for by offering drink refills and quickly clearing unused items. They are also responsible for promptly presenting and settling bills while inviting guests to return. Bartenders must comply with all food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Physical demands include standing for shifts of 8 to 12 hours, bending, reaching, crouching, and safely lifting up to 30 pounds. Job Requirements

  • Must meet minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the United States
  • ability to bend, reach, crouch and safely lift up to 30 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous bartending or customer service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet customers warmly when seated
  • prepare the bar including pour stations and glassware before opening and replenish drinks, mixes, and garnishes as needed
  • suggest sales of drinks, appetizers, and desserts
  • prepare all drinks according to standard recipes using appropriate glassware and garnishes
  • accurately take food and drink orders and enter them in the POS system
  • ensure customers are well attended by offering refills and clearing unused items
  • deliver and settle bills promptly, thank customers and invite them to return
  • follow all food safety regulations
