Job Description

Smokey Bones is a leading full-service restaurant chain renowned for delivering exceptional barbecue cuisine, award-winning ribs, and a lively dining experience. With 63 locations spanning 16 states, Smokey Bones has built a reputation for excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere that brings people together. The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner, featuring a full bar stocked with a diverse selection of bourbons, whiskeys, domestic and import beers, local craft brews, and handcrafted cocktails. Smokey Bones offers a menu of slow-smoked and fire-grilled meats prepared fresh daily, with options for dine-in, pick-up, online ordering, catering, and delivery. Their commitment to quality and guest satisfaction has earned them the recognition of being a Certified Great Place to Work for two consecutive years, making it a standout employer in the hospitality industry.

At Smokey Bones, the work culture is centered around fun, inclusivity, and celebrating every employee's uniqueness. This full-time opportunity is perfect for someone passionate about the food service industry and eager to work in a supportive team environment that values flexibility and personal growth. Employees enjoy a dynamic work setting with competitive wages and the chance to earn cash tips daily. The restaurant also invests in its team by offering scholarships for employees and their immediate family members through Bellevue University, access to substantial discounts on many products and services from day one, and comprehensive health benefits including preventive healthcare, dental, vision, accident coverage, and critical illness plans.

The role of a bartender at Smokey Bones goes beyond traditional drink-making duties. It involves engaging with guests to enhance their dining experience, accurately preparing beverages according to established recipes, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. This position requires legal authorization to serve alcohol, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to meet customer needs. In addition, bartenders support other front-of-house operations like food running and resolving guest issues constructively. The role demands adherence to health and safety standards and flexibility in undertaking various cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed by managers throughout the shift.

Joining Smokey Bones means becoming part of a vibrant team that values fun, mutual respect, and professional development. Employees benefit from a flexible schedule that supports a work-life balance, an Employee Life Assistance Program offering counseling and crisis support, and ongoing career advancement opportunities. With a positive, energetic work environment and a strong focus on employee well-being, Smokey Bones is an ideal employer for those looking to grow their hospitality career while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
