Job Description
The Country Club of Buffalo is the premier country club in Western New York, steeped in rich tradition and heritage. This prestigious club has been a cherished home for many legacy families who have enjoyed membership for generations. Known for its warm and welcoming environment, the Country Club of Buffalo prides itself on fostering a strong sense of community where employees and members alike are treated like family. The club boasts a history of employment stability, with numerous employees and managers having dedicated multiple decades of service, demonstrating the club's commitment to its team and the value it places on long-term relationships.
The club features a challenging Donald Ross-designed golf course recognized nationally for its quality and playability. Beyond golf, members enjoy a plethora of amenities, including tennis, swimming, trap, skeet, five-stand, brushwalk sport shooting, and paddle tennis. The Clubhouse, designed by Duane Lyman, spans 55,000 square feet and offers elegant living rooms, three dining rooms, and various private party rooms, perfect for hosting memorable events.
Currently, The Country Club of Buffalo seeks to expand its beverage team by hiring seasonal bartenders. Bartending at this esteemed club is a critical role in enhancing the Food and Beverage experience, blending expert service with a welcoming atmosphere. As a bartender, you will be responsible for greeting members and their guests by name, ensuring everyone feels valued and well-cared for throughout their visit. This role demands delivering prompt and exceptional service while mingling professionalism with a friendly demeanor.
Bartenders are tasked with mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages tailored to the specific preferences of the members. They also prepare drinks for front-of-house team members who serve and cocktail. Working private parties, such as weddings, showers, and dinner parties, is part of the role, requiring adaptability and refined customer service skills. Bartenders must be knowledgeable enough to recommend specialty cocktails and wines confidently. Proper bar stocking aligned with service volume, alerting management when inventory replenishment is needed, and maintaining clean workspaces to ensure efficient service are also essential duties.
The Country Club of Buffalo offers its bartenders various perks including uniform pieces to uphold a polished appearance, daily meals served at lunch and dinner, a monthly incentive program to reward excellent work, yearly bonuses, and employee golf privileges among many other incentives. The club nurtures a positive, upbeat, and collaborative team atmosphere where members and staff share mutual respect and pride. If you thrive on working closely with a team, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and take pride in delivering high-quality service, this is the ideal place for you to grow your bartending career while contributing to a revered institution in Western New York.
