We are currently seeking a skilled Beverage Server to join our vibrant team. This role is central to ensuring that guests receive courteous, friendly, and timely service of beverages and food in a way that promotes a high level of guest satisfaction. The Beverage Server will work mainly in bar and lounge areas, responsible for preparing and serving drink and food orders, managing guest interactions with professionalism and warmth, and upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The position offers a starting pay of $20.00 per hour and provides an excellent career growth path that includes roles such as Beverage Manager, Restaurant Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, and ultimately Food & Beverage Manager.

The Beverage Server will be expected to maintain clean and organized bar areas, prepare garnishes like sliced and pitted fruit, and verify customer identification to comply with alcohol purchase regulations. Ensuring the responsible service of alcohol, staff must be vigilant about managing intoxicated guests. The job involves completing beverage requisitions and side work to maintain stock levels and cleanliness, assisting with inventory, and following sustainable practices aligned with the company's EarthView program. Safety is paramount, and employees must adhere to OSHA standards and use protective safety equipment. Guest satisfaction scores are a key metric for this role, with the goal of constantly improving the overall guest experience. This role demands physical stamina, including standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and bending and reaching with arms. The work schedule varies, with possible shifts on holidays, weekends, and during different hours.

The Beverage Server position is ideal for candidates with prior bartending or mixology experience or equivalent professional training. The company prefers candidates with TIPS certification and a high school diploma, and it is mandatory to obtain a Food Sanitation certificate within 90 days of employment if not already held. Job Duties

  • Maintain clean and organize bar areas
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Prepare and serve drink and/or food orders
  • If applicable, take orders and serve and clear food and beverage to guests seated at tables in bar and lounge areas
  • Issue guest check and complete payment process
  • Follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests
  • Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels as needed
  • Complete required side work prior to shift end
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
  • Assist with taking beverage inventory
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
