The hospitality-focused Bartender role is an integral part of the culinary team, providing full-scope, hands-on serving functions that enhance the social and dining experiences of the residents and guests. This position requires engaging with residents with warmth and professionalism, ensuring that every interaction contributes to an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The bartender is expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization, while skillfully preparing and serving beverages, managing inventory, and assisting with various tasks to support the overall dining service.

The position requires open availability, including evenings and weekends, and starts at a competitive pay rate of $18 per hour, based on experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Experience in food service work
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers
  • Open availability including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in food service work
  • Experience in working with seniors preferred
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively
  • Experience bartending in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining experience preferred
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers
  • Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Job Duties

  • Always exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization
  • Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere
  • Take orders, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously
  • Answer pertinent questions about menu and drink items
  • Clear all tableware from tables and bar after service
  • Clean all glassware and dishes, including ashtrays, and distribute
  • Stock, restock and rotate supplies
  • Prepare garnishes for bar use
  • Prepare snack trays
  • Maintain all documents necessary to accurately account for resident and guest charges
  • Assist supervisor with inventory of supplies
