The Bartender position at Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa is a part-time role, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality to engage with a diverse clientele in a premium setting. This includes mixing and serving a variety of cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages with flair and precision. The position requires knowledge of mixology, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, bartenders are expected to manage bar inventory, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to all safety and alcohol service regulations. Job Requirements

- TIPS certification or equivalent
- Must meet all state and local age requirements for serving alcohol
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems
- Capability to work independently or within a team
- Successful completion of a background check prior to employment
Job Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience in a hotel bar or restaurant environment preferred
- Experience with cash handling POS systems and bar setup teardown
- Familiarity with food pairing and cross-selling techniques considered a plus
- Capable of working independently or as part of a larger service team

Job Duties
- Mix ingredients such as liquor soda water sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Serve wine draught bottled beer non-alcoholic beverages and food
- Collect money for drinks served
- Orders and requisitions liquors and supplies Stock and replenish glasses beverages mixes fruit and guest supplies
- Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display
- Wash glasses bar and equipment
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks prepare appetizers such as pickles cheese and cold meats
- Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
- If functioning in a lead capacity take responsibility for assigned associates in the absence of the supervisor assign work and ensure proper performance of assigned associates
- Other duties as assigned
