This full-time permanent position is with the Food & Beverage Services department, focusing on bartending and beverage service. The bartender is responsible for supporting the bar operation's profitability and maintaining guest satisfaction by delivering excellent beverage service. Duties span from bar set-up and closing procedures to thorough compliance with the rules and regulations by the New Mexico Alcohol and Beverage Control Division, including monitoring guest consumption and managing situations with intoxicated guests professionally. The role requires effective cash handling, record keeping, and ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the bar area. Teamwork and flexibility are essential, as the bartender will work shifts across various designated areas in collaboration with a multi-skilled Food and Beverage team.

Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of two years bartending experience in a high-volume operation, capability in multitasking under pressure, and maintenance of confidentiality regarding guest and hotel information. Essential certifications include a Food Handler and alcohol server’s certification or a commitment to becoming certified according to company policy. Job Duties

  • Thorough knowledge of product recipes and proper service procedures
  • responsible for all products stocked and requisitioned to the bar
  • collection of money generated as revenue and the proper deposit made at the end of each shift
  • proper recordkeeping on guest checks at the point of sale
  • responsible for bar set-up at the beginning of each shift
  • responsible for closing the bar and restocking used items
  • responsible for cleanliness of the bar and reporting all maintenance needs to the manager
  • monitor and adhere to the rules and regulations established by the NM Alcohol and Beverage Control Division
  • includes monitoring of guest consumption and knowledge of procedures for handling intoxicated guests
  • thorough knowledge of and correct application of all hotel policies, procedures, and practices
  • responsible for maintaining hotel standards of excellence relating to attitude, customer service, employee relations, and job performance
  • responsible for guest relations including guest's name and product preferences
  • attendance at all scheduled meetings
