This position offers an hourly compensation range of $18.47 to $25.00, and the work schedule may include weekends, holidays, days, and evenings. The role being hired for is that of a Bartender, a fundamental member of the hospitality team charged with mixing and serving drinks while providing outstanding customer service and hospitality to members and guests. The bartender is responsible for preparing a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standardized recipes, ensuring all drinks meet quality and presentation standards. Beyond drink preparation, the bartender must verify customers' legal age for alcohol consumption and vigilantly monitor patrons to prevent issues related to excessive drinking, taking responsible actions to limit potential problems.

Key to success in this role is maintaining cleanliness and safety behind the bar area, from washing utensils and bar equipment to organizing and stocking supplies such as beer, wine, and liquor. Meticulous hygiene practices, including proper handwashing between handling clean and dirty dishes, are essential to ensure health and safety standards are met. The bartender will also handle transactional duties, ringing orders accurately and managing guest payments with professionalism.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to read/understand, analyze, and interpret general training manuals, professional journals, or technical procedures

  • Minimum two years of bartending experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes
  • Ring drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served and make change
  • Wash and sterilize glasses, stemware, utensils, and bar equipment
  • Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, refusing to serve additional alcoholic beverages, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons
  • Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies
  • Never touch clean dishes after touching dirty dishes without washing hands first
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
  • Active participation in events, programs, meetings, and training
  • Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
  • Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days, and evenings
