This part-time, hourly position offers a competitive wage of $16.90 per hour and requires weekend availability to support the dynamic needs of the restaurant. The role reports directly to the General Manager and is designed for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a deep appreciation for beverage service. As a Bartender, you will be the face of the bar area, responsible for presenting drink menus, making informed recommendations, accurately recording orders, and ensuring every guest receives first-class service. Your role will require a strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including their recipes and histories, allowing you to engage with guests in an informed and friendly manner. You will also assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar, ensuring all bottles and glassware are presented attractively and sanitized regularly.\n\nThis opportunity goes beyond simple drink preparation; it is about creating memorable moments for every guest through hospitality, attention to detail, and teamwork. You will also fill in as a server when needed to help maintain efficient restaurant operations. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers
- Ensure a good guest experience by presenting drink menu, making recommendations and answering questions
- Record orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS
- Accept and process guest payments and make correct change
- Fill in as a server as directed
- Maintain inventory and bar supplies
- Ensure cleanliness of bar area
- Maintain bottles and glasses attractively and wash glassware
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 5 hours
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school education
- Minimum 1-year experience in restaurant or customer service industry preferred
- Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine including recipes, history, and base ingredients
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
Job Duties
- Present drink menu and make recommendations
- Answer questions regarding food and beverages
- Take orders and promptly serve food and drinks
- Check in with guests regarding their experience
- Up-sell whenever possible
- Record drink or food orders accurately into POS
- Accept and process guest payments making correct change
- Fill in as a server to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Maintain inventory and bar supplies
- Assist in restocking and replenishing
- Ensure cleanliness of the bar area including counters, tables, equipment, and floors
- Maintain bottles and glasses attractively and functionally
- Wash and sterilize glassware as needed
