We are currently seeking a part-time, licensed Bartender to join our Hospitality team. This flexible role, reporting directly to the Director of Hospitality and Event Services, demands a professional who excels in delivering outstanding customer service while adhering strictly to alcohol service laws. With a salary of $20 per hour, the Bartender will be responsible for preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages primarily for private events held at the center. The ideal candidate will have experience in bartending, especially in banquet or event settings, demonstrating a strong knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, along with proficiency in standard drink recipes. This role is pivotal in enhancing the guest experience and ensuring the safe and responsible service of alcoholic beverages in compliance with Wisconsin state laws.

Job Requirements
- Must hold a valid City of Madison Operator's License or be willing to obtain one
- Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
- Experience bartending, preferably for banquet events

Job Duties
- Enforce all applicable Wisconsin Alcohol Beverage Laws
- Ensures responsible alcohol service by adhering to minors' service laws
- Assist with minimizing disturbances and maintaining the safety of customers and the community
- Support the Event Coordinator to ensure safe alcohol beverage service & storage
- Assist Lead Bartender with inventory and bar set-up before event
- Work with all catering staff members to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
- Break down service area, clean up, put away bar, properly dispose of, and store any remaining liquor
